South Florida Sun Sentinel

The South Florida Sun Sentinel is the primary daily newspaper serving Fort Lauderdale and Broward County, with coverage extending across Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties and throughout the state of Florida. It is the fourth-largest newspaper in the state by circulation and a two-time recipient of the Pulitzer Prize Gold Medal for Public Service, awarded in 2013 and 2019.

I interned with the Sun Sentinel’s News team during the summer of 2024, reporting on a wide range of beats and breaking stories. My coverage included local breaking news, real estate and business, sports, environmental issues, and health reporting, offering hands-on experience in a fast-paced professional newsroom serving one of the country’s most diverse regions.
